you may not know but as from Jan 2012 a lot of changes in the MOT testing failure/advise have happened. The changes will be complete in April 2012.

i do have a list of the chnages from the SN i receieved. as well as a website so yo can veiw the testing guide as well! (yea i found it after lots of digging! lol)

if any one would like me to place these on the site i happily will do, as im already getting asked questions regarding warning lights and seats and towbars etc.

also i have a link for the 17th edition Emissions guide

this ^^^^^^^^ is the MOT inspection GUIDE! it tells us what we can fail and cant! and reasons etc.
Where the black lines are thats where the changes are (this is the exact thing we see on the VTS computer when we press F5) well kind of, when we press home we get a list of about 11 options and not the ones you see when you press it on there....

anyway! hope this is kind of usefull for some of you. specially as some of you are naughty and switch things for the mot

good news...some of the changes (appendix b) have had the bedding period extended to summer time

I'm glad they decided against MOT tests every two or three years instead of 1. I think cars are much safer that way! There was talk of it last summer.
