"ok im thinking no like a really big no its ok its funny when she blitzs people and they see a cloud of smoke out of the back and i love the fact that i can be really going for it and still get 55mpg! but i am also aware that having a car that sounds like a bus or van isnt too attractive and it frustrates me and as you cant beat a nice petrol engine sound. now for my rear spiller to fit (as the bravo standard exhaust is like a pigs tail and curls back) i require either a tail pipe change so it will fit through the slot allocated in the kit or i fit my exhaust which will fit through the slot also. so what is everyones opionions about this? should i do this horrible crime? (baring in mind at shows etc i will have the engine off and no one will ever know haha) "

I wouldn't put a jap style pipe on but maybe a twin pipe polished. I still remember that day years back a turbo diesel escort with straight through pipe was parked up. The sound was like a loud tractor basically.

"Can't see what difference would be to be fair. Obviously never going to get the same sound as a petrol. If it looks the part. go for it.. "

"turbo diesels respond well to an exhaust power wise. i dont know if you already have but the bravos also respond well to a remap. iirc im sure a 105bhp bravo can be taken to around 145bhp just with a remap alone. add to that an exhaust and an intake filter and your looking at a pretty quick bravo. theres no need for it to sound like a tractor unless you really open it up with very little silencing.
