"I have a 58 plate vauxhall corsa SXI 1.2 engine. I am considering making some modifications to it and was after a little advice as i would like to achieve faster 0 - 60... How beneficial would it be to fit a sports cat with a new exhaust right through from engine back box and tail pipe? I was also thinking of installing an induction kit. What would be the best cat Exhaust and induction kit for my car and for what i want to achieve? I am also thinking about an ECU remap is this worth it and would it benefit my car if i carry out the changes suggested above? Any advice would be appreciated Cheers "

"in reply to your questions you will only see an big improvement from your mods if you do an ecu remap. sports cat and exhaust and induction kit will also improve accelleration. set of decent tires maybe uprated plugs and leeds will likely give a good improvement. hope that helps get some pics up "

agreed you can spend thousands just to get anything out of it it will be cheaper to just buy a more powerful engine and have that in there instead just go down the air filter and exhaust route so at least it will sound a bit meaner or just buy a faster car"

"Could Start with the usual Intake headers and exhaust then the remap but gain wont be dramatic. You can also Put it on a diet stip the interior etc but I'm guessing you dont wanna do that to a newish car lol try some corsa owners forums there might be a common engine swap to be done."
